12/29/2013 -- His daughter Anne has informed us that Chuck DeVoe died yesterday.  His 1952 Nassau Herald photo is on the Memorials Page.

12/16/2013 -- The University has informed us of the deaths of classmates Phil Burr on November 22 and Dick Orr on November 25.  Go to the Memorials page for more information.
 
12/1/2013 -- As many of you know, Chuck DeVoe is seriously ill.  Gil Bogley has sent us the following report for the website: Chuck has metastatic melanoma, discovered in late September when he was experiencing trouble with balance and with hitting his forehand in tennis.  He is undergoing treatment, but so far, that does not appeared to have stopped the progress of the disease. The biggest impact has been on his mobility.  Otherwise he is in no pain.  He welcomes calls and cards and emails.  He and Jody are in Indianapolis for the treatment, where they enjoy a great support network of friends and family.

11/12/2013 -- Dave Smith has provided information for the next two mini-reunions, Mini XXVII on the  Mississippi River, and Mini XXVIII in Sandwich, MA.  Details are on the Reunions page.

11/4/2013 -- We've just learned that Classmate Coit Johnson died July 26, 2013.  His 1952 Nassau Herald photo and more information are now on the Memorials page.
 
10/23/2013 -- George Towner's Class Notes column for the December 4, 2013 issue of the Alumni Weekly is on the Secretary's page.
 
10/8/2013 -- We've learned from John Moore that Ben Rice '52 died September 19.  Go to the Memorials Page to read the New York Times obituary for Ben published October 6, with  Ben's photo from the 1952 Nassau Herald.
 
10/1/2013 -- CLASS DUES ALERT FROM THE TREASURER - As of today’s mail [October 1, 2013] we have received dues from 124 class members. That is 29.25 percent of the 424 surviving Class members. Of those who have paid, 73 are continuing Honor Roll members who have paid dues for each year since graduation. Last year 276 Class members paid their dues so we still have a ways to go.  We are trying to win The 1942 Senior Dues Participation Award  by attaining the highest percentage of dues payers by May 1, for a class more than 50 years out of Princeton. So if you haven’t done so please drop your dues payment in the mail and send along some notes about what you are doing.

9/25/2013 -- Our classmate Mal Graff died September 18.  His 1952 Herald photo and an obituary from the New York Times are on the Memorials page.
 
9/25/2013 -- Princeton's president Christopher Eisgruber has agreed to become an Honorary member of the Class of 1952.  View his letter accepting our invitation here.

9/16/2013 -- Tom Daubert died September 10.  His son's letter about Tom and his relationship to Princeton is on the Memorials Page.

9/1/2013 -- The class has learned that Charles L. Saunders Jr. '52 died on August 20, 2013 of Parkinson's Disease.  He was a resident of Corrales, NM.

8/26/2013 -- As President Put has informed the class, Earl S.Moore III '52 died August 16, 2013 in Greenwich, CT.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September
14th at the First Congregational Church in Greenwich, CT.

8/25/2013 -- George Towner's Class Notes for the PAW issues of September 19 and October 9 (as well as those for the May 15, June 5 and July 10 issues) are now on the Secretary's page.
 
8/16/2013-- We have recently learned of the passing of two classmates. Nelson A Moffatt MD died on July 29, 2013, at Dousman, WI.   Nels, a physician and urologic surgeon, practiced at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, WI for 28 years. An obituary will be posted on the Memorials page of our website. The class also received information that G. Donald Murray III '52 died on July 27, 2013. There is no other information available at this time.
 
8/5/2013 -- Additional information about Kaz: Roger McLean reports that, according to the Boston Sunday Globe, visiting hours this Wednesday (August 7) are 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Concord Funeral Home, Belknap & Thoreau Streets, Concord, MA.  Memorial Service will be Friday, August 23, at 11:00 am in St. Anne's in-the-Fields Church, 147 Concord Road (Route 126), Lincoln, MA.
 
8/2/2013 -- Classmate Dick Kazmaier died yesterday.  President Put Brodsky will be sending a message to the class with the information, which he found in today's New York Times.  We'll also put it on the Memorials Page.
 
6/12/2013 -- Dr. Ed Sumter '52 died on June 6.  An obituary is on the Memorials page.
 
Shirley Tilghman has been an honorary member of the Class of 1952 almost since the beginning of her tour as President of the University.  Here she is with Class members and her successor on the lawn beside McLean House, the headquarters of the Alumni Association.

6/10/2013 -- On May 30 a delegation from the Class of '52 gathered to express the Class's best wishes to retiring University President Tilghman h52, and warm greetings to incoming President Christopher Eisgruber.  Shown in the photo, left to right: Annette Merle-Smith, Kent Rogers, Steve Rogers, Put Brodsky, Christopher Eisgruber, Shirley Tilghman, Carol Saunders, Harold Saunders, Sarah "Tink? 6/10/2013 -- Jim Wright '52 died May 31 in Charlottesville, VA, and David Symons '52 on June 2, 2013 in Ottawa, Ontario.  There is more on the Memorials page.
 
6/5/2013 -- We've learned from Gordon Lamb that Dan Baker '52 died on May 19, 2013.  We've put the death notice and an article about Dan from the Baltimore Sun on the Memorials page.   President Put adds the following: thanks to Guy Hollyday, we have learned that the memorial service for Dan Baker will be held on Thursday, June 13th at the Second Presbyterian Church, 4200 St. Paul St., in Baltimore at 2:30 PM.
 
5/21/2013 -- George Aman has provided us with the obituary of our late Class President, John Clutz, published in the Philadelphia Inquirer.  The text of the obit is on the Memorials Page; click here.
 
5/4/2013 -- Reverend Jim Evans '52 died on February 6, 2013.  Click here for his memorial.
 
4/27/2013 -- Secretary George Towner's class notes for the June 5 PAW are on the Secretary's page.  George reports on a "mini-mini reunion" in the Denver area, attendance at the San Antonio mini-reunion, and the deaths of Dawson, Hall, Mueller, and Clutz.
 
4/26/2013 -- Chandler Dawson '52's wife Paula has informed us that Chan died last August. We've put more information on the Memorials Page.
 
 4/22/2013 -It is with sadness that I report the death of John Clutz, our Class President, this morning, April   22, in the nursing unit of The Quadrangle, the retirement community where he lived in Haverford, PA.John was a loyal classmate and Princetonian, and served our class well for many years as treasurer and vice-president, becoming president last year.We will post John's obituary and funeral plans when they become available.
 
4/12/2013 -- As Put Brodsky reported in his message to the class, two more classmates have died: Vic Hall, on March 26, 2013, and Pete Mueller, on March 29, 2013.  More information on both, including a published obituary for Pete, is on the Memorials Page.
 
3/29/2013 -- Secretary George Towner's Class Notes for the May 15 issue of the PAW are now on the website (click here), with news of Battestin, Oberdorfer, Sparrow, Pritchard, Jiranek, Dosdall, Leary, Jack, Reiley, Berlind, Ball, Werth, Purdy, Blessing.
 
3/29/2013 -- Dave Smith reports that 55 people have now signed up for the San Antonio mini-reunion, less than three weeks from now.  Click here to read the list; new additions to it are indicated in bold type.
 
2/28/2013 -- We've learned of the death of classmate George W. Young on February 17, 2013.   There will be a funeral liturgy at Trinity Church in Lenox, MA, at 2 p.m. on March 3, and a memorial service at 11 a.m. on May 5 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York City.  More on the memorials page.
 
2/26/2013 -- The PAW Class Notes for April 3 are on the Secretary's page.  George reports on authorship (Leary and Healy) and family (especially grandchildren of Anderson, Siegel, Russell and Cleland) and Jim Evans' death.
 
2/18/2013 -- Secretary George Towner received word from Toby Strachan that our classmate, the Rev. James W. Evans, died on February 6, 2013.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, March 2, in St. John's Grace Episcopal Church, 51 Colonial Dr., Buffalo, N.Y.
 
2/14/2013 -- Dave Smith has received registrations for 36 classmates, associates, family and friends for the San Antonio Mini-reunion.  Go to the Reunions page and scroll down to Mini XXVI to see who they are.
 
2/5/2013 -- The Class Notes for the March 20 PAW are now on the website.  George brings attention to the distribution of "Sixty Years of Significant Events," moving days for Andlinger, Duffield, and Rockwell; joint work on Master, Stott and Telesco; and continued athleticism of Barr and West.  He mentions also the deaths of Tangen and Griffith.
 
1/30/2013 -- George Tangen '52 died January 29, 2013.  A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, February 9, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Lake Front Plaza, 16154 Main Ave S.E., Prior Lake, MN.  Go to the Memorials Page for his obituary and more information.
 
1/28/2013 -- Classmate Walter S. Griffith died January 9, 2013.  A brief biographic note is on the Memorials page.
 
1/24/2013 -  Who has signed up for the San Antonio Mini-reunion, April 18-21, 2013?   The early birds are listed on the Reunions page, along with all the information on schedule, sign-ups, etc., in case you have misplaced your copies.
 
1/15/2013 -- Go to the Secretary's page for George Towner's March 6 PAW '52 class notes column.  George lists PAW memorials that Class Memorialist John Moore has submitted to the PAW, notes Fred Atwood's death, and alerts the class that the 60 years album of stories and pictures is about to be delivered to all class members.
